Choosing a major can be stressful!
But, don't worry so much about the major you choose. Just try to think about what you want to study for the next four years of your life. Now this advice is for those who are sure they want to be a doctor. I had a friend who was sure he wanted to be a doctor. So, during the four years of college, he studied music because that was his passion. If you want to learn how to make money, study business. If you want to learn biology because it is really interesting, thenstudy biology. Don't study biology just because you think it will help you to get into medical school. Regardless ofwhat you study, you can still get into medical school. In retrospect, I would have studied humanities because I know it would have helped me on the verbal sectionof the MCAT. I struggled with the verbal section on the MCAT and I know had I practiced reading for the mainidea more often, the verbal section wouldn't have been so bad. So, if you want to do better on the verbal section of the MCAT, study humanities. If you feel that you're not interested in humanities, make sure you take as many humanity classes as you can to prepare you for the verbal section. I studied Chemical Biology (basically it's Chemistry with a little bit of Biology. It's not the same thingas Biochemistry). The reason I chose this major because I really liked Organic Chemistry and I thought I wanted to be a scientist when I first entered college. In retrospect, I would've chosen something else. I would've studied Business because I am interested in business. In the end, you should choose your studies because it interests you. Simple as that.
