Do you want to know how to calculate your science and overall GPA?
The following will show you how to calculate your overall and science GPA. The way you do grade point average calculation is based on the following: First, you convert your grades into number values:A+/A= 4.0 A-=3.7 B+=3.3 B=3.0 B-=2.7 C+=2.3 C=2.0 C-=1.7 D+=1.3 D=1.0 D-=.7 F=0
Then, multiply the numerical value by the semester hours (ie. check your transcript, usually one semester worth of science is 4 units)
So, let's say you got a B+ in Biology 101 (4 units) and a C+ in Physics101 (4 units).
The general equation is: (numerical value x semester hours)/ total semester hours
For example= (3.3x4)+(2.3x4)/8=2.8
The total average is 2.8 The difference between AMCAS and AACOMAS is that, AMCAS will average classes that were repeated. On the other hand, for AACOMAS, if there are two classes that are repeats, AACOMAS will replace the lower grade with the higher grade. This is how AACOMAS calculates repeated grades. Your AACOMAS Grade Point Average should be higher than the AMCAS if you repeated classes.
G.P.A. Calculator Spreadsheet
Here's a spreadsheet where you can input your grades and crank out your G.P.A. Click here to download GPA calculator spreadsheet, or right-click to download it. You can also use the calculator below to calculate your grade point average.
Computer your G.P.A. Right Here!
This calculator will give a you a Grade Point Average for up to 20 classes. You can plug in different grades for each class to see what your Grade Point Average might be.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- For each class, type in the number of credit hours
- For each class, type in the letter grade you have or might have.
- Then click on "Compute" at the bottom right of the calculator.
The calculator will tell you the grade points for each class. At the bottom will be your Grade Point Average for that semester.
